Across Scales

Keizer Koopmans is a design office for architecture across scales. We approach each assignment with a strong analytical attitude and work on a broad portfolio; from interior design to train stations and urban plans. Our working method is based on collaboration.

Durable Design

We strive for durable architecture that anticipates a changing future. Clear structures that can accommodate a variety of functions, materials or techniques. Designs with a strong identity, generous, that blend perfectly into their surroundings.

Radical Simplicity

We believe in the ability to translate the essence of a project into a spatial design with apparent radical simplicity. From concept to usage, a design is readable, the complexity of architecture is made understandable, everything has a function.

Design to Build

Design starts with building technology. Sustainable techniques and materials associated with the place form the building blocks of our designs. The result is rational and timeless architecture with an eye for context; the ‘genius loci’ that provides direction.

The office is founded by Wouter Keizer and Ule Koopmans at the beginning of 2020. Before establishing the practice Keizer Koopmans, Wouter and Ule worked at renowned offices in The Netherlands and Germany. They worked on award-winning buildings and international competitions, on Dutch urbanism and German building technology. Wouter and Ule are involved in teaching at the Technical University Delft and the Academy of Architecture Amsterdam.
