We've won the tender for a new sustainable residential building in Het Spiegel!
Keizer Koopmans, together with CPO Bouwvereniging Emma, wins the tender for a new sustainable residential building in Het Spiegel, Bussum. A project by local residents, for local residents!
‘De Spieghelhoek’ forms a seamless integration of architecture, nature and community. The residential building is designed with an eye towards the future and consists of 16 apartments for seniors (‘life time housing’).
Through several sustainable measurements such as the load-bearing wooden CLT walls, underground heating pump and the reuse of rainwater, the building is energy-neutral and achieves an exceptionally high GPR score: 9.0.
The Spieghelhoek is a refined design with rich detailing that fits into the architectural quality of ‘Het Spiegel’. The natural garden is also designed with deep respect for the historic landscape architecture. The design preserves all existing trees and combines nature-inclusive measures with collective spaces such as a vegetable garden and sitting areas for socializing. With sculptural hedges, a pond and varied plantings blends the garden effortlessly blends into the park-like neighborhood.
Winning team: CPO Bouwvereniging Emma, @keizer_koopmans (coordinating architect), @georgevanluit (architect), @roydamenn (garden), @van_bekkum (contractor), @degroenejongens (sustainability) and @grofalexnl (ecology).
