Residential community Het Wouwse Hof

‘Het Wouwse Hof’ is our design for a sustainable development with 34 affordable homes on the edge of Rijnsaterwoude; a small village on the Braassemer lake. With a variety of affordable housing types, it accommodates different target groups, from young to old, stimulating a natural ‘flow’ of residents in the village. Where the urban design encourages playing outside, a sense of community and meeting each other, the architecture follows the rural housing types of the area. With the addition of a pergola as a transition zone, the buildings are visually connected and the entrance feels like a generous connection between private and public areas.
